April 20-29, 2011 - Pine Creek - Pine Creek is running so fast it is throwing off a mist giving all who are watching a shower. As more of the water comes into the lake you can see the lake level rising daily. The water is so swift, logs can be seen washing down with the water. During this time, the hatchery starts to harvest and fertilize the eggs buy using tubes to put into the egg sacks which make the eggs come out easier and is less harmful to the fish. These photos were taken at the weir and 5 miles up the creek.

April 18, 2011 - Pine Creek and the Weir at Pine Creek

April 5, 2011 - Pine Creek is filling up Eagle Lake! Fish are going up stream as you will see in the photos below. The pen photo is of fishin in the pens after they have been sorted and ready for DFG to extract the eggs and fertilize. The fish were stacked up logs waiting to go!

March 16, 2011 - Notice the water is going over the cement side, flow is much higher today after heavy rains yesterday and real wet snow last night & today. Yesterday, 03/15/11, DFG were doing fish rescue at Pappose Creek. 

Pinecreek at 9:30 A.M. 3/13/11, running much better today, seeing a noticeble difference in the lake levels since the creek started running on 3/11/11. Pappose creek is running, but Merrill creek has not started as of today. There is still quite a bit of snow left in the south end of the lake.
